Chinese tech company Realme today (October 1) launched its new 5G smartphone, Realme 15x, in the Indian market. The mobile features a 7000mAh battery, 50MP selfie camera, 10GB dynamic RAM, and a 6.8-inch screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone has been launched in three storage variants, with a starting price of Rs 16,999. The sale of Realme 15X has begun. It can be purchased from the company’s website and Flipkart, as well as offline retail stores. In the initial sale, there will be a bank offer of Rs 1000 and a discount of Rs 1000 on UPI payments. Smartphones like Oppo K13x, Infinix Hot 60, and Poco M7 are also available in this budget segment. Design: Plastic frame with matte finish color The Realme 15x has a slim and lightweight body, made of a plastic frame and glass back. On the front, the punch-hole selfie camera and thin bezels make the screen appear almost full-screen. On the back, a vertical camera module with an LED flash and two lenses is provided. On the side, there are power and volume buttons, and a USB-C port is given at the bottom. The mobile comes with 3 color options – Aqua Blue, Marine Blue, and Maroon Red. All three colors have a matte finish, which reduces fingerprints and gives a premium feel. The mobile is 8.2mm thin and weighs only 212g, making it comfortable to hold in hand. The phone features IP69 rated water and dust protection and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Realme 15x: Features and specifications Camera: For photography, the mobile features a dual rear camera on the back panel. It includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 AI camera that works with a 5P lens. Meanwhile, for selfies and video calling, there is a 50-megapixel front camera, which is a wide-angle sensor. Display: The Realme 15x smartphone features a 6.8-inch HD+ display with 1570 x 720 pixel resolution, supporting 1200 nits peak brightness. The screen operates at a 144Hz refresh rate and offers a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Performance: Realme 15x is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor for performance. This is a mobile chipset built on 6 nanometers, which can run at a clock speed of up to 2.4GHz. Users might be disappointed with this processor, as 5G phones like iQOO Z10 Lite and Itel Zeno in the budget segment offer this chipset for less than 10 thousand rupees in the market. Realme 15x is equipped with 10GB Dynamic RAM Expansion technology, which, combined with the phone’s physical RAM, gives it the power of up to 18GB RAM (8GB+10GB). The smartphone runs on Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15. Battery: The phone has a 7000mAh battery for power backup. It features 60W SuperVOOC charging technology. An 80W adapter will be included in the box.
