Some customers of India’s second-largest telecom, Bharti Airtel, have faced network problems continuously in the last 24 hours. Users were unable to make phone calls, use mobile internet properly, while others faced no signal problem. Many users took to social media platforms to express their anguish over the connectivity issues. Netizens left red-faced on social media due to connectivity issues: One netizen wrote, “What is wrong with your network? I’m several metres from the booster but I can’t even send a goddamn tweet.” Another netizen wrote that he made a complaint against a network issue to @Airtel_Presence on Friday, but he could only get a reply in the wee hours of Saturday: Rise in connectivity issues since wee hours of Saturday: Downdetector The online service status information sharing platform, Downdetector’s website showed a continuous rise in problems reported by citizens on its portal regarding connectivity issues since 5 am on Saturday, 11 October, 2025. Infact, the portal showed reporting of the problem of connectivity issues in the last 24 hours as well. Albeit, there was a reduction in such reports from 11 pm on Friday to 5 am on Saturday. After that, these again increased. More than half of users said they faced problems in using mobile internet: Downdetector Out of total reports submitted by the users with Downdetector, 58% of them said they faced problems in using mobile internet. While, 31% of them said they faced the problem of no signal. And, 11% said they faced issues in using mobile phones. Since the disruption of internet cables in the Red Sea, citizens in India have continuously faced issue of slower net connections. These users are of all telecoms like Reliance Jio, BSNL, VI and not just of Airtel!
