Lava’s budget smartphone Shark 2 launched in India:iPhone 16 Pro Max–like design, featuring 50MP camera and 5000mAh battery, the phone priced at ₹7,500

Lava International today (October 27) launched its new smartphone Lava Shark 2 in India. The phone has been introduced with an IP54 dust and water rating, meaning the phone is protected from dust and water splashes. However, the phone may get damaged if submerged in water. Additionally, the phone will feature a 50MP camera and a 5000mAh battery.
The Indian mobile company has launched it in the budget segment with a single variant featuring 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, priced at ₹7,500. Design: Inspired by iPhone 16 Pro Max design The Lava Shark 2’s look resembles the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It has a square-shaped camera module on its back panel, which is inspired by the iPhone. This module has three camera lenses and an LED flash. The placement of the camera sensors is exactly like the iPhone 16 Pro Max, but the flash has been placed slightly differently. On the right side of the phone are the volume buttons and power button, while the left side has the SIM slot.
At the bottom, there is a USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. This phone is available in Aurora Gold and Eclipse Gray colors. Lava Shark 2: Specifications Display: The phone features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with 720×1612 pixel resolution. This screen, built on an AMOLED panel, operates at a 120Hz refresh rate. It features a punch-hole cutout notch design, giving it a screen-to-body ratio of 93.5%. Camera: For photography, the Lava Shark 2 features a triple camera setup with an LED flash on the back panel. It includes a 50-megapixel primary camera equipped with AI features, which works in conjunction with an ultra-wide lens and a depth lens. Additionally, it has an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Processor and Operating System: For performance, the phone is equipped with an octa-core Unisoc T7250 chipset. Its AnTuTu score is 3,75,000+, which is fine for light gaming and daily multitasking.
Battery and Charger: For power backup, the phone has a 5000mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging. Storage: It will get 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The company has also equipped the phone with 4GB virtual RAM technology, which, combined with the physical RAM, will give this Shark 2 the power of 8GB RAM (4GB+4GB). The phone will have 64GB of internal storage. Lava Shark 2 comes out of the box with Android 15.

A cash discount of ₹750 will also be available on the phone. The phone will not be available online; it can only be purchased from offline mobile stores.
