Tech company Motorola has launched its thinnest smartphone, the Motorola Edge 70, in the global market. This is the company’s thinnest smartphone to date. Its thickness is only 5.9mm, which is 2.0mm less than the previous model, the Motorola Edge 60 (7.9mm). Despite being thin, the Motorola Edge 70 smartphone comes with MIL-STD 810H military certification, meaning it is a very robust phone. It has been introduced with an IP68 + IP69 rating, which makes it dust and waterproof. Additionally, the phone is equipped with a 50-megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), 12GB RAM, and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor. Motorola recently launched the mobile in China under the name Moto X70 Air. Design: One of the world’s thinnest phones The Motorola Edge 70 is built on an aircraft-grade aluminum frame. The phone has IP68 and IP69 ratings, which protect it from water and dust. A horizontal pill-shaped bump with an LED flash is located on the back panel. This gives it the distinctive Edge series look. The phone’s thickness is just 5.99mm, making it one of the world’s thinnest phones. It weighs 159 grams, so it feels quite light when kept in a pocket. The front has glass protection and the back has a nylon textured finish, which provides a good grip. Fewer fingerprints will be visible on the phone. The phone is offered in three Pantone certified color options – Gadget Grey, Lily Pad, and Bronze Green. It will offer a premium feel with its matte-glossy mix finish. Motorola Edge 70: Specifications Display: The Motorola Edge 70 features a 6.67-inch 1.5K screen. It has a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. It is a punch-hole display built on a pOLED panel. It features a 120Hz refresh rate and 4500 nits of peak brightness. The company has implemented Water Touch technology, so the touch will work fine even with wet hands. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. Camera: For photography, the Motorola Edge 70 5G features a triple rear camera setup on its back panel. It is equipped with a 50-megapixel OIS sensor. This works with a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens with 120-degree FOV and a 3-in-1 light sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is a 50-megapixel front camera on the front. Performance: Motorola Edge 70 has been launched with Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 octa-core processor. It can run at a clock speed of up to 2.8GHz. The phone has 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, which loads apps faster and keeps multitasking smooth. Storage is 512GB UFS 3.1. Battery: For power backup, the phone has a 4800mAh battery. The company says that on a full charge, videos can run for up to 28 hours. The battery can be quickly charged with 68W fast charging. It also gets 15W wireless charging. For connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi, and NFC. Google Gemini voice control will also be available. The screen is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 7.
