A new report suggests Android users, especially those on Google Pixel, deal with far fewer scam calls and messages than iPhone users. The company shared survey results and research showing that its AI-based safety tools are stopping a large chunk of fraud attempts. According to Google, Android’s security features block over 10 billion spam or harmful calls and texts every month. Survey shows a big difference The report includes findings from YouGov, which surveyed 5,000 smartphone users. It shows a clear gap between scam exposure on Android and iPhones. A direct challenge to Apple’s image This report subtly challenges Apple’s long-held reputation for being the more “secure” platform. Google suggests that Android’s layered AI security is better at detecting and blocking new scam tricks. Apple has added new features like “Silence Unknown Callers,” but Google believes its AI-driven approach gives Android a stronger defence against evolving scam tactics.
