Government company BSNL has launched an affordable monthly plan. This plan offers unlimited calling, 100 SMS per day and 2.5GB internet data for ₹225. BSNL’s new monthly plan comes with 30 days validity. While companies like Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea are giving 28 days validity in the name of monthly plan, BSNL offering 30 days validity is beneficial for users. 24 days extra validity will be given When calculated for the whole year, BSNL will provide about 24 days more validity compared to private telecom companies. After rolling out 4G network across the country last month, BSNL is continuously bringing affordable plans. The new monthly plan will provide 2.5GB data per day. This will give users a total of 75GB data. This will be 4G Data. If you get low 5G internet speed with Airtel or Jio in your area, using internet on BSNL 4G speed could be a beneficial deal. One year validity for senior citizens at ₹1812 Recently, the company launched a plan with 50 days validity for ₹347. Before this, they launched an affordable annual plan for senior citizens. This plan offers one year validity, unlimited calling and 2GB internet data per day for ₹1812. This plan is for people above 60 years of age. The company will also provide a free SIM card with this plan. 6-month BiTV subscription will also be free. The BSNL Samman plan has been introduced for a limited time. This 365-day mobile plan can currently be purchased only until November 18.
BSNL launched 4G service on September 27 On completing 25 years of BSNL, the company launched 4G service on September 27. While rolling out BSNL 4G service across the country and issuing 92,600 new mobile towers, the company has already significantly reduced the problem of poor network and no signal. BSNL has developed its own 4G technology, which is not foreign but indigenous. It will be installed at 98,000 locations. This means fast 4G internet will be available everywhere from villages to cities. This network can be easily upgraded to 5G BSNL’s indigenous 4G stack can be easily upgraded to 5G. It has a cloud-based and future-ready design. This means it will shift to 5G with just software updates. No major hardware changes will be required. Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has also said that it is seamlessly upgradable to 5G. This means preparations for 5G will begin soon after 4G launch. BSNL’s customers are continuously decreasing According to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) July 2025 figures, BSNL and MTNL are continuously losing subscribers. In July, BSNL lost 1.01 lakh customers, while MTNL also saw a decrease in subscribers. Now the public sector telecom companies’ market share has fallen to less than 8%. According to the report, Jio added the highest number of new mobile customers at 4.83 lakh in July. Airtel added 4.64 lakh new mobile users in July. While Vodafone Idea saw a decline in subscribers. Vodafone Idea (Vi) lost 3.59 lakh mobile customers in July. Why did BSNL’s condition become like this?
