This demonstrates the robot’s learning power and adaptability, which makes it even more promising on Tesla’s list of new technologies. Optimus can also do household cleaning tasks Now this robot is capable of doing almost all daily tasks in its home. It can even cook and do household cleaning tasks.
Previously, in a video shared by Musk, Optimus was shown easily performing everyday household chores, stirring dishes with a spoon, vacuuming the floor, and cleaning a table with a brush and dustpan. Optimus has now become more advanced than before. Let’s see what all it can do… Understanding of delicate-strong, robot can pick up an egg The humanoid robot Optimus was first introduced during the ‘Tesla AI Day’ event in October 2022. Last year, a new generation of it, ‘Optimus Gen 2’, was unveiled. The upgraded model can walk 30% faster and also has better balance. Its weight is also 10 kg less. Optimus Gen 2’s hands have been replaced. It is faster than the previous version. It understands how to pick up delicate and strong objects. The robot is seen picking up eggs and placing them elsewhere in the video. Robot can select items based on color Optimus has been trained to select items based on color. It automatically picks and separates blocks of colors. Additionally, it corrects itself if a mistake occurs. It is being developed to replace low-skilled labor. Its humanoid form is designed in such a way that it can complete human tasks ranging from shopping in supermarkets to working on factory production lines. Optimus Gen 2 robot can perform dance moves like humans The Optimus Gen 2 robot can also mimic human-like dance moves. It is able to do this due to technical advancements such as improved human foot geometry and a new toe section. Full self-driving technology with 8 autopilot cameras and AI Optimus uses Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology and AI, which is used in Tesla’s electric cars. It has 8 autopilot cameras, sensors, and an FSD computer, which helps it understand and navigate its surroundings. There is an interactive screen on the face, which is for displaying messages and communicating. Optimus has 5 fingers and an opposable thumb in its hands, which enable it to perform complex human-like tasks, such as using tools, grasping objects, or picking up delicate things (like an egg). The Gen 2 model has improved hand dexterity and tactile sensors, making it more precise.
